Five Layers of Protection
01 — Access & Entry Security
Vehicle and pedestrian access points are protected through intelligent gate systems, ANPR cameras, biometric terminals, UVSS, X-ray scanning and smart barriers.
02 — Drone Intelligence
Dedicated drone operations provide aerial surveillance, rapid perimeter assessment and response capability, supported by docking and charging infrastructure.
03 — Internal & Building Security
Critical buildings are protected through biometric access control, turnstiles, IP intercoms, AI-powered cameras and intelligent video management.
04 — Perimeter Defence
The first line of protection combines smart fencing, fibre intrusion sensors, radar, thermal surveillance, PTZ cameras and intelligent lighting to identify and respond to perimeter threats.
05 — Security Operations Centre
At the heart of the ecosystem is a centralised SOC integrating surveillance, alarms, GIS intelligence, AI analytics, access control and cybersecurity systems into one operational platform.
Intelligence at the Centre
The Security Operations Centre will operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, providing continuous monitoring and coordinated incident response.
Security operators will monitor live camera feeds, AI alerts, access-control events and perimeter alarms while incidents are geo-tagged and tracked through the GIS intelligence platform.
The system is designed to classify incidents according to priority, with critical incidents requiring immediate response and escalation through the security command structure.
Built for Long-Term Resilience
The project does not end at installation.
Following commissioning, Crownshield will maintain and operate the Smart Security Ecosystem throughout the 10-year operational programme, supported by preventive maintenance, staff training, compliance management, system testing and continuous improvement.
This includes scheduled testing of surveillance systems, perimeter sensors, access control, fire and gas detection, drone systems, cybersecurity infrastructure and emergency systems.
From Deployment to Full Operational Capability
The implementation programme follows a structured 32-week critical path, beginning with mobilisation, threat assessment and technical design before progressing through procurement, civil works, security installation, system integration, testing, training and final handover.
By Week 32, the project is scheduled to reach Full Operational Capability, with the 24/7 SOC active and the long-term preventive maintenance programme underway.
A Commitment to National Food Security
Benue Food City represents more than a major infrastructure project. It is part of the wider effort to strengthen Nigeria’s food production and processing ecosystem.
Crownshield’s role is to ensure that the people, facilities, technology and critical assets supporting this infrastructure are protected by a security system built around precision, intelligence, resilience and accountability.
The objective is clear:
Protect the infrastructure. Secure the people. Safeguard the food supply chain.
Smart Security. Intelligence. Protection.
